New Senran Kagura Game to be Unveiled October 6

Series producer Kenichirō Takaki announced a new work for the Senran Kagura series in a Famitsu livestream event on Niconico on Thursday. Famitsu magazine will unveil details on October 6.
Takaki shared an image related to the new project, pictured below. He also commented that he would like to make a VR game.
The franchise began with the release of the original Senran Kagura game on the Nintendo 3DS in September 2011. The latest release in the series is Senran Kagura: Estival Versus, which shipped for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan in March 2015, and in the West in March earlier this year. The game received a "Sakura Edition" update in Japan earlier this year.
The games inspired a television anime in 2013. Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and released it on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in 2014.
