End of One Piece Winter Anime Special to Have 'Important Announcement'

This year's 52 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump (cover pictured at right) revealed on Saturday on the cover page for the 807th chapter of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga that the end of the One Piece ~Adventure of Nevlandia~ anime special will feature an "important announcement."
The special, which is the first winter anime special for the franchise, will air on December 19 from 9:00 p.m. to 11:10 p.m. on Fuji TV. The previous TV special, One Piece Episode of Sabo, aired on August 22. The end of the special announced that the 13th anime film in the franchise will open in summer 2016.
Kônosuke Uda (One Piece episodes 1-278, One Piece: Dead End, One Piece: Mega Mecha Soldier of Karakuri Castle) will direct the special and Namie Amuro (One Piece opening 14) will perform the special's theme song "Black Make Up."
