Love Live Film Sells 2 Million Tickets for 2.8 Billion Yen

The former editor-in-chief of Kadokawa Shoten's Movie Walker website reported on Monday that Love Live! The School Idol Movie has sold 2 million tickets for over 2.8 billion yen (about US$22.7 million), as of Saturday, November 14.
The film opened in Japan about five months ago on June 13, and earned 400 million yen (about US$3.24 million) on 121 screens in its first two days.
The film premiered in select cities in the United States on September 12. The film has also screened in Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, and Indonesia.
