This year's 39th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that the Final Fantasy Explorers Nintendo 3DS game is slated to ship in Japan on December 18. The issue also reveals the new Time Mage job class.
The game's "job system" is influenced by Final Fantasy V. Up to four players can form a party with white mages, black mages, monks, knights, archers, hunters, ninjas and paladins. The players' jobs will be familiar ones from the main Final Fantasy series.
Square Enix filed a trademark for Final Fantasy Explorers in the United States on June 20. A price and release date for a Western release has yet to be announced.
