NIS America is pleased to announce today the release of The Princess and the Pilot, and they're giving you the chance to have your questions answered by chief animation director Satoshi Tasaki. If your question is selected, you will also receive one of ten (10) retail copies of The Princess and the Pilot Premium Edition Blu-Ray. The film will be released on May 14, 2013, on one blu-ray disc. The premium edition comes with the "Princess and the Pilot Flight Log" hardcover art book, which contains character information, rough sketches, staff interviews, and more.
Produced by Madhouse, the movie tells the tale of a pilot named Charles, who's accepted a mission to rescue the beautiful Juana del Moral and fly her to her love, the prince of the Levamme Empire. The Empire has been locked in a brutal conflict with the Amatsukami Imperium for years, and the Amatsukami don't plan on letting the rescue mission happen without trouble.
The contest will be open for eight days, until Friday, February 15 at 11:59PM EST. You can submit up to five questions, but for the best chance of winning, please make sure the questions are related to Mr. Tasaki's involvement in The Princess and the Pilot. Only one entry per person, please. As many questions are similar or redundant, the winning contributor for those particular questions will be chosen randomly. Winners will be announced and notified the following week, once we've had a chance to pore over all the responses. The contest is open to everyone, but prizes will only be shipped to addresses in the United States and Canada.
