Professional illustrators (and even passionate amateurs) do their work with fancy, expensive software and fancy, expensive art tools. But you can also create some beautiful art with only basic, ordinary tools and a bit of talent.

His drawings of Miku and Madoka are fantastic! Smile It's surprising how a limited set of colored pencils can produce artwork that looked as if it was made with a higher-budget art set.

Whoa. It's almost like you can make any color by mixing the three primary colors...

Confused

Good art, nonetheless. I guess maybe a lot of people these days don't have art classes, so they don't know about basic concepts like color mixing.

As a non-artist, I can attest that you can also learn about basic concepts like color mixing from a science textbook. Or... Sesame Street.

The point is, people have this mistaken notion that having fancy digital tools will make their art better even though it's the skill that makes difference.
