Since they're not releasing it on PS3 outside of Japan, I hope they follow the Tales series's lead and release this on Steam someday.

Hmm I need to pickup the Tales series, still looks like next 2-3 years are going to be really strong for Square. Unless they mess up XV and KH3.

I have bought all the star ocean games and the last one I actually played through was part 2 on PlayStation 1. This new one looks pretty good.

@Kougeru - Really I found SO 3 to be amazing (well ending aside), never did get to finish the last one though stopped at last dungeon.

The article missed out the 2 other protagonists namely Emmerson and Anne. Star Ocean 5 seems like tri-Ace wants to seriously outdo the Tales of series with this installment by innovation such as seamless battles and a 7-man party.
Highly unlikely. tri-Ace have been adamant with releasing their games only on consoles. Even after the Square-Enix merge none of their games have ever made it to PC to this day. |
