I usually watch the dub while waiting for the Japanese blu-rays to come out, since they've been showing it in October/November the last couple years, but CDJapan literally shipped my copy today.
Maybe I'll wait for the dub anyway since I usually have a hard time going back after seeing it in Blu-Ray quality with the original OST...

They're going to cut over half of the original music tracks like they do with the anime, aren't they...
Eh, whatever. As long as I can get used to Dub Clemont, Bonnie, and Serena, I'll watch it; watching dub Pokemon movies is basically a tradition.

I got the Australian DVD a few weeks ago and the music job they did for the English dub is pretty bad. So much so, I went to complain by emailing TPCI directly from their website (Which I did get a generic reply of "Thank you for taking the time to contact us, we will forward your email to the correct department" etc.).
Oh and Hoopa is pretty annoying the first time round so be prepared....

I'll watch this movie, but judging from a few reviews that I've seen, the reception towards Hoopa and the Clash of Ages isn't all that good... I'm still hoping for the best.

It can't be as bad as the Diancie movie, though.

I watched the Japanese version in the theater twice and then watched the English version as it aired in Canada and... well... I'm not at all surprised or upset at the negative backlash of the English version. Voice acting and music changes gave me an icky taste in my mouth that the normal dub hasn't done at its worst. Like, I've seen several episodes of the dub and while I don't particularly care for the dub, it's not so bad that anyone watching the show still can't deal with. The music is very meh and bland, but the voice acting has its ups and downs.
But this movie... The Japanese version sets up the atmosphere with its music and visuals together, calling upon audio homage to older films and having an extremely exciting soundtrack I've already purchased. The English version just... has none of that. No really engaging atmosphere. And then the voice acting... Satoshi and Serena and the main cast from the show at least have experience, but HOOPA. Hoopa's voice acting was atrocious and completely changed how the audience is supposed to view its character. I don't know the record of Hoopa's VA, but she just felt so... inexperienced. Cheap. I'm not even sure how to describe it without feeling insensitive to the people who put hard work into this localization (I assume they at least tried...), but that's really the only way I know how to put it.
In the end, the Japanese version is one of my favorite films in the longest time (accompanied by the spectacular musical/vocal performance in the short and the theater's additional epic atmosphere) while the English dub makes me want to never recommend it to even someone who enjoys the dub as it is... A dub alone should never be able to do that to me because I can usually enjoy both for their own unique reasons, regardless of which I like better. It wasn't the worst dub I've ever seen by any standard, but it just didn't do the film justice...
I'm not going to tell you to watch it in Japanese (unless you want to, but I don't know how potentially awkward the Japanese voices, names, etc. might sound to a long time English dub fan), but I really don't know if I'd personally recommend the film in English either. If someone actually enjoys it, please explain to me why. I can't really find any enjoyment out of the English version and I can't tell if that's just my bias towards the Japanese version speaking for me or not...
