As expected...

The waiting game continues although I wouldn't say it's impossible in the future. We did get Kizumonogatari confirmed recently.

Why do so many people act like Kizu was some impossible miracle? It was formally announced and we even saw footage in Bake, it was going to happen eventually despite all the delays.

The real unlikely continuations like Index, Devil Part-timer, TWGOK, Spice & Wolf, Berzerk etc, have no announcement, no plans, no footage, nothing. The comparison is silly.

Toma's catchphrase is quite befitting as a response to this news.

Why on Earth would they decide to give this an article?

(sigh)

Well I wasn't expecting anything because the focus was put more on Heavy Object this time around.

But what the article missed was one of the staff saying: Maybe something will happen in the Spring Festival? Or something along those lines.

There's certainly more chance of a miracle at that time then there is now.

"yet"

So there's still hope? Maybe? This wasn't a "it's never happening", it's a "it's not happening yet". I hope Heavy Object does well, so that might in some way encourage them to make more Index.

*sees headline*
*reads the article*

On the plus side, Miki Kazuma did say "not yet," which can be inferred as "we are working on it, but we can't announce the project's current status."

Well, as long as there's a chance of a third season being made, it's okay with me.

'Not yet' means that there is possible to gets third season anime. I can't wait that 'not yet' turns to 'gets'.

Edit:
Maybe the third season is after the anime airing of Heavy Object. The reason is that the author of Heavy Object and A Certain Magical Index are the same.

Its been 4 years since the last season and if they haven't even started any planning yet then that's a bad sign. I'm happy that it was at least mentioned though, it's better then nothing.

Well, imo it's already on JC Staff's side holding back for Index III. Kudos to Miki for even doing the dogeza bow for fanbase's sake.

I think it'll be announced at the end of Heavy Objects final episode. Seems fitting enough to me. At least he feels sorry about it and actually acknowledges that fans want it. Almost gives me hope something really will be announced this year.

Im guessing it will be announced at the end of Heavy Object. The fact that Index III got mentioned at all leaves me to think it's a hint it will happen soon. If S3 is being made then im sure that Railgun 3 will come soon after that. I dont think we will see accelerator anytime soon, since there isnt enough material for it yet.

There was a movie more recently, though

Not having enough material didn't stop them from making Railgun with 10 filler episodes and Railgun S with 8 fillers. I still hope that Accelerator won't get the same treatment.
