I don't really have a problem with the concept, but I do wish the girls looked a little less "moe". Neutral

That's not really what Sakigake is all about.

I remember that anime! The Most Manly of Men anime, aside from Fist of the North Star.

I much as I agree with you, the article DID say it was going for a more "modernized" look. I suppose the artist figured this is how modern manga girls are supposed to be depicted.

I hope this spin-off manga of Sakigake!! Otoko Juku becomes popular enough that it may have an anime adaptation one day. Smile I find the story of Otokujuku Gaiden to be very compelling and fun.

Laughing Sorry, couldn't help myself. Laughing

As for this, I assume that all the characters from the original will end up having only female ancestors in this spin-off?

I only know about this manga because it's in J-Stars Victory VS. I had never heard of it before but I watched the first episode of the anime before playing J-Stars because I wanted to be familiar with everything in the game. I wasn't extremely interested by what I saw, but I actually kinda want to check this out for some reason. Seriously though, a Man Bomb? Lol.
