Now it just needs to include English subs and we'll be good to go. (the text, not ships).

That's good news even though I expected them to be included anyway since they're in the Online Browser version.
I'm more interested in how they are going to deal with the time wait on 'Expeditions', 'Ship Construction/ repair' and 'Resource income'. I doubt people will be happy waiting for e.g. 12hrs+ for Akagi to repair after paying money for the game.

Also after seeing KanColle Arcade in action, I'd love to see it come to consoles eventually. Looks fantastic!

If this comes to a system I actually have, maybe I'll put it on my list. I'll definitely do so if it can also be a system I can record off of and if it contains American ships--me living in the United States, they're the ones that'd most concern me.

Sorry, Axis Powers only. Can't glorify WWII if you're on the "other team"!

Darn, I thought there'd eventually be some kind of expansion where you could play as the other side.

Didn't it start as a virtual card game? I've never seen a card game where you could only play as one side in a conflict. Inevitably, the other side will get at peast an expansion set.

I dunno, I'd like to be able to play with HMS Truant, at the very least. (Suck it, Karlsruhe.)

Yes, great, continue with the glorification of wars! This is what our world needs! Take all those ships of war morons and turn them into girls...

WWII strategy games where you play as Imperial Japan are not new, I've played a lot of them as a kid.

Well it's widely believed that the Abyssals (Enemy team you face) are meant to be immitating the role of the Allies, mainly the Americans for obvious reasons. There's rumours that we may see British ships one day, but it seems more likely it'll be Russians if they were to pick any Allied nation to include.
