Aww, sweet! I loved DQ 8, I'd buy it again! And you can have Gelda and Morrie as party members too! Although I think Red would've been more awesome, but yes, I'd want to buy this again! It's been probably almost a decade since I played DQ8, after all.

I was hoping VIII would get a release! I just really hope it comes out in the U.S. I fell in love with the franchise with IX and have since played V and VI but I'd really like to play VIII as well. I think VII got a 3DS version as well but it didn't come out in the U.S. And since it doesn't seem like we will be getting X any time soon, I hope this can keep me busy until XI.

Stop releasing more Dragon Quest games or Togashi will never finish Hunter x Hunter. Apart from that, I'm interested. I've only played Dragon Quest IX on the DS. Loved it. I remember seeing this one being advertised in Playstation magazine years ago, but I never saw a copy of it in Australia. So if it comes to the West, I'll pick it up. |

And, can we expect for an official name for the Hero, now?

Lovely art style, especially at the time, but good Lord did this become a slog towards the end. At least with the 3DS there won't be any disc spin-up before attack animations.
It is also worth noting that the orchestral score is only a new feature for the Japanese crowd, as we've had that version of the soundtrack all along. The Japanese language voice acting is a genuine addition though. |

I never got around to finishing it the whole way, but I loved Dragon Quest VIII. Really hope we get an English release of this. Portability is always a good thing.

Oh good, phew! I can't remember if she had that name in the US release or maybe not or whatever, but it's been so long that all I remember is "Red was awesome". I think both Red and Morrie are the logical choices for additional party members. Is Togashi overly addicted to Dragon Quest or something? |

I'm so excited! Dragon Quest VIII was my first DQ game and one of my favorite RPG/Game of all time.
I really hope this comes to the West, I feel it has a helluva better shot than DQVII. Man oh man, I cannot wait. |
