Isn't that generally what Hot Topic's business model is? Sticking mainstream "geek" culture topics on T-shirts and selling them to the hip, trendy crowd? A bit surprised they'd pick Black Butler though. I didn't know that was relevant in America. -Stuart Smith |

I saw the Black Butler one at my local Hot Topic today. I thought it was one of the dumbest things ever. :p
If they really wanted to do swimwear from Black Butler, they should've the swimsuits that were actually worn the anime. I'd have no issue with wearing Meirin's swimsuit. |

The manga sells well consistently. The anime does as well for FUNi, since it is being re-released as part of the classics line not S.A.V.E, and the show has been around for years. Given the amount of merch for the show you see around, also goes to show the popularity. Just look at the list on Rightstuf for instance, it is several pages, dunno how you thought it wasn't popular. As for the swimsuit, not the worst I have seen. It doesn't seem very relevant to the show though. |

To be honest, I probably wouldn't have guessed it was Black Butler inspired without being told. It just looks like a generic goff bikini to me.
