That would be weird but at the same time hilarious (and maybe some people would find it offensive).

Man...I would be really overwhelmed with sheer joy if I were greeted with an anime-illustrated note on any special day. Smile

Several years ago (2008), I happened to visit during the summer after another plaque hanging event in Heian Jingu and I happened to see several anime-character plaques. I took pictures of them on my camera and when I was home (in America, several months later), did some more research on them. I decided to read a few and I found out that the one with the xxxHolic characters on it was hung up by CLAMP themselves! It had their signatures on it and everything! I had lost most of my digital photos in a freak accidental deletion incident, so it's one of the few photos I have left from the trip. CLAMP are still my favorite mangaka, so the photo is quite the treasure.
Going back in late 2012, I found lots of Milky Holmes and Nanoha ones there, too. I'll be in Narita and Okayama in a few days, so maybe I'll visit another shrine and check them out. =3
