Can't say I'm surprised about this with all the events coming together. I'm pretty sure there will be changes soon. Oh and Christmas is coming soon...spoiler[you know what that means. ]

What a coincidence, I literally finished the anime a couple hours ago.

Im not at all surprised, considering how the last few chapters have been and with the anime having its own ending i expected as much... I just hope there would be more survivors here than there were in the Anime >.>

Question is: is the series ending due to the natural progression of the story or that the anime has a part of it?

glad to hear. 10-14 volumes is like the sweep spot for a manga

Don't expect to take anything from it past episode 18, not only did they skip an arc entirely they made certain actions, deaths, events happen in earlier/later times, different ways or with different people. I know WHY they did it but it's honestly kind of pathetic. |

I was kinda expecting it, Takahiro seems to be tired of Akame ga Kill's "extreme shocking" style and it showed a lot on his other work this year, Yuki Yuna is a hero, which handles its drama/tragedy avoiding excessive shock value

Always nice to see a (relatively) short shounen series that wasn't short because it was suddenly cancelled. May pick up Yen Press's release now I know it won't be lasting for years and years.

"Red-eye kill! Unlike the work of up to now , but we are pretty savage we are doing is enjoying"
Google Translate on Takahiro's site. He was having fun with this series yet people take it a little too seriously. I saw the ending coming in chapter 52 to be honest though. I am hoping for the final arc to be 3 volumes long. That may be a lot to ask for but the series can rap up well as opposed to having power ups that last the duration of one chapter. I would have loved to see the other regions/countries in the series though. This series offered a lot to explore but limited itself well by only having 48 official teigu. If you want to see some of what Takahiro is doing, check out Yuki Yuna is a Hero. One of my most favourite Slice of Life anime ever. A great concept which is more unique than it appears. |

Enjoyed the anime well enough. May try to make sure I find out about the end of the manga to see if I want to give that one a try. Yes, I have no problem finding out the ending of a series before starting to collect it.
Hadn't realised that Takahiro was working on Yuki Yuna. Tried that show, just wasn't for me. Didn't find anything in it that hooked me, even though I was looking forward to that show in the lead up to its debut. |

Well, for those fans, they might still have another year or so to enjoy it.
