Anybody else hoping this might be a sequel to Wolf Children?
This will be horrible, or hilarious. I'm cautious.

Yeah, this really does sound like a polarising series.

As I've never seen KissXsis...why would this series be a replacement for it?

based on his earlier comment in the recent KissxSis article, I believe he means this is the frog spawn that will be replacing the frog spawn that is KissxSis

So, he's just chosen this as his pick for Kissxsis's replacement?

Interestingly enough, a classic American TV show used a similar premise as it's start: Remington Steele. If I recall correctly, Pierce Brosnan's character was a bit of a "black-hearted prince" at the beginning of the show, being a thief/con-man who usurped the identity of the fictitious boss created by the show's heroine. The show is generally credited with pioneering, for American, non soap opera TV at least, the drawn-out "will they or won't they" style of romantic plot line that is so common in both American TV and Japanese media. It also leaned heavily on the "screwball comedies" of the 30s and 40s, which I generally find to be quite similar in style to many shoujo and josei romantic comedies.
It also is considered one of the main influences of the later show, Moonlighting, which launched Bruce Willis as a household name and had considerably more of an edge, in terms of the leading man having a "sadist" bent. It also is tangentially responsible for the two Timothy Dalton "Bond" movies, as Pierce Brosnan's contract for Remington Steele prevented him from accepting the role of James Bond when it was initially offered to him.
This has little to do with the show, other than that the description of it brought that show to mind and I really like that style of show, suggesting that I will probably like this one, if it is well crafted, at least.
