I was really hoping Funimation would've picked up Akame ga Kill and Chaika. Now we're guaranteed a crappy dub for both.

>Sentai's got Akame Ga Kill

I figured they had Chaika which is fine by me since its too good of a series to not be licensed. I am kind of worries about the quality of the dub. But I will deal!
They also picked up a lot of shows that I plan on watching this season. Although some of them I figured would be grabbed by Funi. Still surprised that no one has grabbed Brynhildr yet. Sentai still has two Spring shows to announce though. So my fingers are still crossed. |

Oh Sentai you did marvelous, Both Chaika and Akame Ga Kill, Great Pick ups, The question i am really curious is that if Chaika will be released as 2 separate season collections or put together as a whole series considering the next season will air next season
Also Rail wars and Roukuijima are the 2 other titles im watching this spring they have licensed. |

I don't really mind that Sentai picked up so many shows...
Now I am a fan of both Sub and Dubs. I like have the option of both. My only concern with Sentai (and honestly I don't know if it is just my mind set or not) is that they don't really dub a whole lot of their stuff. I do believe they have gone back and dubbed other shows that were sub only which is cool that they do that. As of right now, I do hope that they dub Chaika and Survival Game Club. On the whole, I do like Sentai and I don't mind the work they do. I hope things work out well with these shows the got. |

Anyway, pretty surprised mostly on the release front more than the licensing front. Like the new LE box sets. Now We need to see png/high quality pics of them boxes in order to tickle my fancy.
Really? There dub clip of Watamote says otherwise. Its at least a guarantee that those shows wont get touched by J. Michael Tatums rough script writing or Mike Mcfarlands california casting fetish on big titles. All in all, sentai filmworks needs these shows due to case of popularity. Though IMO they will be somewhat average. Except for Akame since I might enjoy that if I turn my brain off. at least the dubs will be above acceptable. IF THEY GET DUBBED. Were talking about an unpredictable licensing company you know. |

Man I was hoping Sentai would announce a license rescue for a show. Do they still have announcements coming, or was this it?
With two-cour shows, Sentai has been releasing them in two different sets. See From the New World. After a few years they release a complete collection. |

What else they announced were Box Sets. *High School of the Dead: 12 episodes, OAV, and "a bunch of other goodies" *Love Chuunibyou and Other Delusions: numbered limited edition box set "loaded with fun extras, goodies and much more" *Beyond the Boundary: "Super limited deluxe edition filled with awesome extras and more" November 2014 releases: --High School of the Dead --Stella Class C3 --Tari Tari --Natsuyuki Rendevous (3 of these are on BD for the first time) --Noucome (My Mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy) --Yusibu (I couldn't become a hero, so I reluctantly decided to get a job) --Log Horizon Collection 1: Includes a dub That was all I saw other than their Summer 2014 gets and Chaika. Fans outside of the US and Canada probably feel quite differently about Akame ga Kill (since a Sentai license means a CR simulcast). |

Yes! Sentai Filmworks licensed Chaika The Coffin Princess such good news seeing as any other North American anime company wouldn't have ever licensed it. Now just to wait for October for more Chaika.
Chaika The Coffin Princess and Blue Spring Ride are the only two titles interested in. Who knows how the other anime series would turn out. |

@ Dessa: wow, sounds like Sentai is finally getting into the Limited Edition game. And the AoA-ization of the R1 distrib industry increases.

Aright that is Great, While the second season of Log Horizon airs, i can also re-watch the first season with an English dub too. I just hope they didn't add a lot of the same voice actors, voicing different characters, considering the amount of characters there are in the story and more are coming in the later seasons phew, Sentai has got it's Dub crew work cut out for. |

Given that it's probably a TOHO title, I wouldn't expect many territories outside US and Canada. Spring 2014: One Week Friends - US and Canada Haikyu!! - USA, Canada UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand Winter 2014: Engaged to the Unidentified - USA and Canada Fall 2013: Meganebu! - North America Summer 2013: Fantasista Doll - USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa Spring 2013: Majestic Prince - USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand |
