In other news, Fakku made some kind of agreement with Wani to begin publishing stuff in English. http://www.fakku.net/fakku-books As for the convention, I guess good luck, but it'll be kind of lame if there's always zero new video announcements. A new non-Vanilla Series/Pashmina h-anime hasn't been licensed in the states since like 2008* or so, things look pretty grim, and Project-H only grabs vanilla manga books.
*If anything else has been licensed, you could count it on one hand, compared to what they're consistently releasing in Japan every month. |

Holding a panel first sounds like a great idea.

Didn't they already try a hentai con, and no one came? [No pun intended.]

I'm interested in how this goes. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of being in an enclosed space with fellow males under the pretense of illustrated and animated porn... on the other hand, if gets the North American hentai industry booming again, that'll be nice.

Interesting. Hopefully their convention aspirations are successful and lead to more eroanime licenses. My hope is to be able to get some of the Pixy and Poro stuff here.
I can tell you from personal experience that the ero panels aren't the pervy, awkward, and creepy "nightmares" that people on the internet make them out to be. No one's "doing" anything in seats or in the corners of the room, and everyone who attends is laughing at /tastefully enjoying the content and having a good time (while dropping tons of innuendos). |

Really depends on how they structure it and the type of guests that are invited. When MangaGamer invited guests to AX, I went to their panels since they were pretty entertaining. When they invited Tomoe Tamiyasu in 2012, Bamboo wanted to ask a personal question but felt it would be inappropriate, so he had an attendee ask this - spoiler[What would you say to who 'releases' listening to your voice?] Tamiyasu was wearing a pair of Nekomimi, so when the question was translated, the ears, which were in a relaxed position, shot up as she turned beet red and mumbled "Thank you". So, yeah, really depends on how the convention is structured and the type of guests you get. But yeah, the con funk was strong in the room. |

I wonder if the same relatively conservative criteria used for licensing Project-H manga will be applied to the convention...
Now that's interesting. DMP has some competition now! And potent competition too:
That would be great, but I'm not holding my breath. It would be a miracle if anyone, including Germany, got any Pixy or Lilith titles |

actually people did come . Myself included.though mainly die hard otakus. sure there was no way it would have like normal attendance like if it was a non H convention but it had a sufficient amount of people attending. also ya cant blame them for trying considering it was the only place where people can cosplay as characters from H series like bible black, Night Shift Nurses, La Blue Girl , Viper GTS , Beat Angel Escalayer , Koutestu no majo annerose and both Mahou Shoujo Isuka & Mahou Shoujo Elena. so this go around is at least a lot more affordable than trying to go an H con unfortunately those cosplay wouldn't be permitted.
No kidding. Both Poro and Lilith/Pixy getting their nots tied in a noose and start going ballistic to fansubs groups like fakku and others when they release sub versions online, but doesnt even want to release any official version here. it makes me wonder what is taking them so long cause US companies like Kitty Media and Critical Mass Videos would definitely license their titles if given a chance unless both poro and lilith/pixy are asking for outrageous license fees and such. |

There were absolutely no problems with someone cosplaying bible black here in the Netherlands at animecon...

Good luck to them for trying to pull this off. I'm not sure if this is going to work.

Some Angel Blade cosplay would be a damn amazing sight, considering their combat gear. Bible Black or La Blue Girl or most of those others aren't racy in their normal outfits, since I'm sure they start out whole and likely no different from any other anime or video game. Power Girl outfits tend to show more skin than those. Bible Black is just a cool school uniform, NSN would just be a pink nurse outfit. Other than Angel Blade, what initial outfit would be more or less impossible to cosplay out in the open? Even with Angel Blade, it only requires some highleg leather panties and a leather bra to cover it all up, but then that's now being show-accurate. I want some Front Innocent cosplay. |

I am not sure if you were answering your own question there. But in case you were not, the maid uniforms in Front Innocent do qualify. I think that what Carrera normally wears in Viper GTS would probably fit the requirements. It does not fully expose anything but it is really nothing more than a thong and a couple of pasties. |
