Yasuda and Digimon together again, and in yet another game we're not getting. Le sigh.

So I take it this might be the first Digimon game which players can choose to play as a male or female protagonist? If that is the case I like it, because sometimes I would like to see a Digimon story that stars a female protagonist.

On the light side belvadeer, the PSPVita is region free so if you know can import the game if you want. The only thing you will need to be concern with is understanding Japanese.

The Digimon Story (not the World) series has traditionally allowed the choice of a male or female protagonist - it's just that only two of the four released so far have been released stateside (named, rather confusingly, Digimon World DS and Digimon World Dawn and Dusk). Since the female protag hadn't appeared up until now in any of the advertising for Cybersleuth I was worried that they weren't going to follow up on this, but it looks like they are.
...Still looks like we're not getting this one stateside, though. Alas.

Ah, I see. However I am not familiar with the "World" series (as well as hardly the game continuity of Digimon in general). Speaking of which I have a question. What are the Digimon games like, particularly the main series of games? I kind of have been wondering about this on and off for a while, and I'm thinking of one day giving the Digimon games a try. Are they similar to the Pokémon games (well I doubt that for the most part, but I asked anyway)? What's the game play like as well as the stories?

I know, but I still would have loved more Digimon game localizations. It stinks the franchise just isn't as strong here as it used to be.

I see. It does suck when a franchise one loves doesn't get the recognition/attention it deserves. Speaking of which I kind of wonder sometimes what would it be like if the Digimon franchise were to have been financially successful instead of Pokémon. Well I have an idea what would happen, but I brought it up anyway.
