I wasn't too impressed with the second episode, but I'm hanging on because a main character voiced by Maaya Uchida is supposed to appear at some point.

If this show gets an English version, I'll add it on my "Want to Watch" list. I'm just hoping that if Is the Order a Rabbit really does get an English version, it'll be done by a different [and skillful] director, or, if not that, the current director will have his quality check improved.

They won't. They didn't do it for A-channel and only did for K-on since it had massive popularity and possible mainstream appeal.

K-ON was Bandai's product anyway.

Cute girls doing cute things dubs are pretty much all in the range of mediocre to terrible. The range of American voice actresses isn't anywhere near that of their Japanese counterparts when it comes to 'cutesy' voices and so they'll either end up sounding way too old or just obnoxious.

So for me, even if there was a dub I doubt I'd bother with it. The original voice cast is extremely good thus far (and I don't expect Maaya Uchida to hinder that).

Hidamari Sketch, Place to Place, and Yuyushiki didn't get dubbed either. Chances are more likely that this will be sub-only. I'd like these kind of shows to get dubbed, but unfortunately there's probably not enough sales appeal to make up for the costs.

I guess this is the part where some person from the Dub Community would say "Well I can't stand Subs because all then female voices sounds the same, and are all too little girl like, and it doesn't register in my brain right. I guess the point I am trying to make is if you have every wished that Anime would be more of a Mass Market here in America in terms of the Hollywood Industry supporting Anime, then Dubbing is the step to that Fantasy. Much like how Video Game companies want more, and more Cascual Gamers becasue they know that the Hardcore are already sign-ed on. In other words: Dubbing Anime is the key to Mass Market/Hollywood Americanized Anime in Theaters in the future. (Of course Video Game movies will likely be first thanks to Fox's Assassins Greed, and Stephen Speal-bergs Halo.)

Given that Red Data Girl was a rather early FUNimation license, I'd say you only have yourself and your lack of research to blame for that. Certain companies are more likely to dub their products. As of now, FUNimation has only released one of their tv anime licenses sub-only so if they license a series then it's rather likely it will get dubbed.
