Wow, I'm reading this at midnight and this really is terrifying. What a creep sicko. I'm glad they arrested him. Keep him in prison where he belongs. Don't ever send him out of there.

This poor girl. Imagine living in such a state of terror. I'm so glad that everything's sorted out now.

Ugh, what drives these men and women to want to kill an idol? What is it in their mind that makes them think "Oh (insert idol here) deserves to die"? Can't these people see the human inside these idols, they'd feel a lot better if they did.

The US has a fascination with fame, royalty, and wealth and want to know about how these people live despite many living similar lives as they are, just with more wealth, power, and/or fame.

short answer? Voyeurism, they watch these idols and celebrities on tv day after day, to the point where these peoples lives become a story playing out in real life, with scandals, and betrayal and drama. Is it any wonder that some people decide to make themselves part of that story, that decide to give the story a tragic ending? fudge man, look at John Lennon, look at JFK, our history is full of lunatics who decide to close the book on a story not yet truly finished.

You're absolutely correct. Even the man sending death threats to the idol said he only did it because, "I thought if I said I'd kill her, she'd know who I was." It was so important to him that he become a part of her life, that he didn't care how he achieved it.

That is disturbing when reading this, this guy reminds me of Sasaeng fans which is common in K-pop fandom. Sasaeng fans are more disturbing then this dude who send death threat to that J-idol.
