Wasn't expecting this. Played a demo of the first one on PSP, and it was pretty fun, so I'm looking forward to this. I guess the only question is whether I get the 3DS version or wait until I have a Vita and get that version. Decisions, decisions.

I'm kinda split here. I'm really happy this game is being localized... I've heard a lot of good things about it and its aimed at exactly what I'm interested in. But its Atlus... they hate dual audio. Having a game with tons and tons of cute girls being voiced in a dub would be absolutely terrible. This is the textbook example of a game that needs to be played with Japanese voices.

I feel the opposite as I am never really a fan of japanese voices so having them be dubbed doesn't bother me in the least bit.

I take my weeaboo in either language.

But, really, is there a benefit to having a second screen in this game?

I'm just gonna assume that the Vita version is actually better in terms of performance.

Knew it from the teaser, although I wasn't actually expecting it. Still, this is something I'll most likely get.

This was the only place I could find comparisons.
Quote:
-PS Vita uses 3D models in First Person view when talking to characters.
-3DS uses 2D models.
-Both sceens are at native res.
-PS Vita looks waayyyyy better and less choppy.
-3DS version lacks multiplayer because of hardware.
-PS Vita version includes social features thanks to First Party applications.

Thanks a lot.

I'll do a little more research (particularly, what the 3D models look and move like).

I tend to like 2D models better in poverty games like this since the 3D models are usually kinda ass (this was the case in Virtue's Last Reward, from what I can remember).

EDIT:

But then, costume customization I DON'T KNOW

EDIT EDIT:

Okay, this is the closest I can get in terms of comparing stuff:

3DS gameplay:

Vita gameplay:

What? It seems like both versions use 3d models when you talk to characters.

Yeah, weird. I guess the post I linked to was misinformed or made up. Neither would surprise me.

If the Vita version has a higher frame rate then it's no question. Higher FPS is ALWAYS better.

I like Atlus' dubs, so I'm cool on that. I might get this, it all depends on how exactly the game treats its female characters...

Another option open to me is to actually wait for reviews of the US version that will probably compare the two versions...

But then this involves being smart and not getting the game at release and I can't have that.

Pretty much, though I'm not exactly sure how integral to this game FPS will be.

(I have no idea what this game plays like)

I think this game is an RPG dungeon crawler or something like that. But even in games like this, a smoother FPS still looks better. I'm so sick og games today that constantly chug because they go for graphics (GTA js really bad at this) or were coded by complete amateurs (So many Japanese games...Compile Heart I'm looking at you). High FPS is always less painful to watch for a long time.

Yeah... Senran Kagura is pretty hype, but that damn frame rate is killing me.

Also, a reason why I kinda just wanna go PC next generation >_>
