The faces were hilarious, I totally do the exact same thing, whether I'm doing voices or not. Great comic!

Making faces helps to imagine the reaction or emotion the characters are likely experiencing at that point. Of course, looking at the actual scene you're voicing for is a much better way of figuring out the face. XD

Crispin Freeman did it when he dubbed Hellsing. He looked like he'd drank blood from an imaginary severed arm once.

hmmm... new Nina meme?

Say, have you seen the new character designs for Ghost in the Shell?

So, it seems that Aniplex of America has licensed that show you love. No dub, limited release and it costs $300.

Did you hear about that realistic slice of life show you love? yeah, the brother ends up ****ing his sister.

Did you hear about the anthology romantic harem comedy where the hero gets with a different girl in each arc? The brother doesn't get to **** his sister.

What? You mean the brother doesn't get to bang his sister?

<-My reaction to such shocking and unwelcome news.

that is what it says...
it's the double standards rule. Smile

(BTW- I only have a free image shack account- the pictures are probably going to disappear soon.
[edit- switched them to photobucket- per advice])

Use photobucket, pictures never expire.

And geez, damn the government, outlawing right-thinking people from banging their sisters. What sort of a morally screwed-up society are we turning into?

I can imagine the English, Japanese, Italian, Korean, and maybe the French voices doing faces while in the studio. In fact, when ANY dubber from ANY country REALLY gets into the role, I bet they make faces while in the studio. Razz

It depends- in document about Polish VAs some of them behaved like they were playing in old-timely movie, while others switched between voices, timbres and emotions without moving a singe muscle.

When I was a kid I was on a meeting with voice actress who played lots of my beloved cartoon characters. When I said that she doesn't sound like them, she told me about working with the larynx while casually changing her voice as she was speaking. I was scared as hell. Shocked
