Why don't they make an epic PS3 fighting game with like 50 characters?

Its a dynasty warriors series, not a fighting game series. I want it!

There is a Smash Bros. style Shonen Jump style game for the PS3 in the works of I remember right.

Ugh. When are these One Piece games going to be released here properly again? That hasn't happened since Unlimited Adventure...

The DBZ and Naruto games still get proper releases here, why not One Piece?

Probably a higher chance if it was dubbed. The so called "No dub, no physical release for NA" Sony rule. Which is just speculation/rumors since some titles are able to get a physical release despite a having no dub.

As sad as it is, 4Kids had the money to push for constant physical releases of the games. I guess Funimation doesn't, or they don't see the profit of doing so anymore. It doesn't sell anywhere near as much as Dragonball does for them.

You have to factor in Namco Bandai and perhaps in Koei in this game's case. Other Koei games that didn't have a dub have the same treatment of no physical release in NA. One could say it was in NB's court to push for voice, but who knows.

One Piece: Unlimited Adventure had the FUNimation voice cast, and is so far the only video game to do so.

It seems to be more of a Namco Bandai thing though. I doubt FUNimation has much control over the video game rights, other than holding the NA license to the DBZ, FMA and OP properties, ensuring their logo gets featured somewhere. Okatron 5000 is even the company recording the dialogue for (physical) video games relating to DBZ, FMA, and OP instead of FUNimation themselves. Namco Bandai coordinates everything, and it was most likely their decision to release the current slate of One Piece games digital-only.

Though I agree that the One Piece brand name was so much better marketed under 4Kids, one of their few redeeming qualities, other than their voices for Zoro and (normal-sized) Chopper.

They'd have a better chance if they could ever gain some ground on the japanese version.

Right now its like 7 years behind
