I hate to start this thread with bad news, but the player refuses to work on my iPod Touch. I don't know if any other devices are having this problem.

Welp, I've thrown down my money. Here's hoping everything works out for Anime Sols.

Does it support HTML5? I think that's what they're using.

Yes, it does support HTML5; in fact, that's one of Apple's major hyped up features of it.

Well, got my account set up. I'll decide which shows to pledge money to once I've watched some of them, though^^ So far Creamy Mami looks to my liking.

This is a really cool idea, so I hope it works out well for them! Very Happy

The player is flash. It won't play on IOS.

edit: see Sam's answer below.

It seems that although they attempted at making it an html5 player, the video seems to be flash. If I start a video and right click on it, flash options come.

Edit:
Seems I'm too slow Sad

If you have a 3rd generation or older iPod Touch, it won't work, unfortunately. It's a hardware issue, only supports low-complexity h.264 format. I know because my iPod Touch is 3rd gen so I can't watch there either.

Not true. It has a flash fallback for browsers that won't play native h.264.

Earlier generation Ipod touches only support Baseline profile h.264.
Anime Sols uses Main profile so you need at least... a 4th gen I think.
If it's not playing on a 4th generation then I'll look into it.

The player uses flash when it's available, because it plays better than more built-in h.264 decoders on the browsers outside of mac.
Specifically I was having a horrible time getting Chrome to play the native html5 <video> tag where it would only start ~20% of the time. Making it attempt to use flash first clears up that problem for most people's systems.

But the website should work and stream on any tablet or device that can playback html5 main profile h264 mp4 video, or can run flash, which is pretty much anything.

Also note that full screen is current disabled on Internet explorer due to some bug I couldn't solve. So if you want to go full screen please switch to a different browser.

Nice, I thought it would just be Black Jack, but I'm a little worried about how all the shows seem to be competing with each other for pledges all in the same relatively short time period.

I want to pledge to both Black Jack and Creamy Mami and maybe one other. If I had to choose only one it would be Creamy Mami, but there's only 2 months left on Creamy Mami, while there's 3 months for Black Jack.

I'd split my pledge between the two, maybe one level up for Creamy Mami or something like that, but if it seems like only one of them will reach its goal--if there's any large disparity between potential shows--then I would feel better off not splitting the total money and put it towards the one most likely to be funded among the series I like, which would also net me the higher rewards level.

BTW Yatterman episode 7 is giving me an error:

Good luck I guess.

Its very heartwarming to be welcomed with the regional restrictions message, oh well. Surprised I've already seen a couple on TV years ago anyway.

Sam, I'm having issues with playing the video player. I reported it (including the Internet Explorer thing, which you already noted it), but I'm having scaling problems with the video. Whenever I fullscreen it, it becomes jagged. Not sure what is the cause of the problem.

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to mention I'm using the most up to date Firefox browser.

EDIT #2: Ah, you got back to me via Email. Didn't notice that. I guess it's a wait and see if you can resolve it then.

I wish I had purchased that Ninja Senshi Tobikage DVD boxset I saw back at the Tokyo Life store that used to be in my town's mall. Biggest miss I ever made in recent years.

I'm so excited about this! As soon as it went up I dropped as much as I could afford to give on Creamy Mami Anime hyper

It's nice to see all of these older shows for the first time in a higher quality subbed too. I'm kindof enjoying Aoi Blink and Tobikage

I really hope everyone who's pledged gets to see it become a reality~
