How? Given the original was the most expensive game ever made upon its release, he isn't going to get even 5% of what he needs via crowdfunding.

keywords (anime or manga) Very Happy

I've been saying for ages they should do the whole story as an anime. Just get the thing finished. I don't care if it's even a game anymore.

At the time it was revolutionary in terms of scope.
These days you could do a decent adaption in terms of chapters on the Xbox Live Arcade or PSN with a low budget rather than a full blown game.

Agree with you on that point.

I'm still keeping mine Dreamcast and part 2 of the game. Unfortunaly I can't get the first game 2nd anywhere.

So it would be wonderfull if they re-told the first 2 games storyline in a new medium.

I'd certainly be willing to contribute something to make this happen. In the end the story is the core of the experience- if he can get people on board to help tell it engagingly in a non-game media, then that would be more than enough closure for me. Although I'll still think questionably of people with black cars, and always be wondering where sailors might be hanging out.

I wish it was as simple as to get projects done by just getting a crowdfunding source going... I'd definitely contribute to get Shenmue III made, as well as more Hajime no Ippo anime...
