I'd be shocked if there isn't. Theres plenty of material left and it was one of the best selling shows of the season. It seems like a slam dunk to me.

Great news. It was an excellent show, frequently hilarious and possessing a huge amount of energy and zest; I want to watch more of it. Whether the humour can be sustained for another cour is questionable, but I will happily give the second season the benefit of the doubt.

the book and the ONAs are great, but the xebec show was terrible, terrible, terrible.
interestingly, this book sold out preorders at some online shops.

It doesn't matter that it was high selling, it is a great show.
If it had only sold four copies it still would have been a great show.

Oh gawd why this? No FMP 4th season, DRRR! 2 or GitS 3rd gig but more nyaruko. I guess as long as JP otakus buy crap we get crap.

I think you mean that "as long as JP otakus buy awesome we get awesome". Because so far I haven't seen anything beyond "this is crap" from the detractors.

I'd still want an explanation if we were talking about IS(especially because I haven't seen it). More detail than "it sucked!" is required.

Well it is very predictable,to the point that it actually becomes boring(the action scenes also fail because of that). Characterization is incredibly bad,as the girls actually dont go beyond their tropes (not to mention incredibly dense male lead).Character designs are also incredibly generic. The premise which had promise to be something more and include some gender politics turned out to be just an excuse to put dude in all girls high school.

It's a comedy series with Lovecraft and pop culture references, it worked for me.

This was a dumb show that by all rights I should have hated, but it was surprisingly entertaining in a goofy way so I'm glad it's coming back. I'm slightly worried it's initial charm will wear thin over the course of a new season, though.
