They're still alive?
But while we're at it... where is Bakuman? Now, it's gonna be at least a YEAR since Vol. 1 came out before we got Vol. 2... at LEAST...
...and Michael Sinterniklaas has even confirmed that NYAV has completed recording on all of Seasons 1-2...

It's too late, Media Blasters. Too late.
You took Bakuman away from me. I gave you my money, tried to convince others to do the same. But no. You took it away from me.
Now you get NOTHING.
I hope you ROT.

All in time, children... all in time...
Trust me, they would've preferred having it out by now more than any of you, however certain issues just make that impossible...
I probably can't change your minds this way, but please don't hold it against MB, in this one case anyway...

I'm happy to see that they are still alive. I want MB to survive. The fandom benefits from more domestic licensors. I'll be ordering the Gaogaigar set.

Why does everyone take a company trying to stay alive so personally? Like I can understand being horribly upset by how delayed Bakuman is, (even though I don't care for the property), but raging at Media Blasters for pushing back deadlines and delaying potentially low-earning title? They're trying to stay in business man.

Yeah, I'm noticing Amazon is having trouble stocking stuff Media Blasters has released lately(I'm talking about Amazon itself, not 3rd party sellers). Seems kinda strange online sites are having trouble getting new stock of releases.
Only one on that list I'm interested in is the Ah My Buddha collection, since it's under $15. But at least delaying it two months frees up some cash towards other anime purchases for next month.
All the delays does make me wonder if they will actually get released. Besides this, they're letting licenses slip(Golden Boy) and other titles go out of print(Ah! My Goddess Season 1). It makes me wonder if they can actually still remain in business.

I didn't even know they were releasing Fushigi Yugi. Does anyone here have the first season set? I noticed that it's supposed to be in anamorphic widescreen, so I would think that means they cropped the image. However, I found a picture of the back of the case that says 1.33:1 anamorphic widescreen, which I've never encountered before. Does this mean that the picture is pillarboxed, or is it just something stupid like the menus and trailers for other shows are widescreen while the video is still 4:3?

I think it should be mentioned that Media Blasters had their same booth at the end of the exhibit hall at San Diego Comic Con last week too. It's noteworthy because dealer space on the exhibit floor is not cheap by any means. I was hoping to speak to a Media Blasters rep there but alas the people taking care of the booth were hired by Media Blasters. I don't recall if Fushigi Yugi dvds were there, I was looking for Moribito blu-rays, which I didn't see.

I don't want them dead either. I'm glad to see them somewhat alive. However, that doesn't mean I can't be sceptical.

Same here. I asked RightStuf about that on their Facebook post about this schedule change, because they typically have pre-orders shipped out WAAAY before brick-and-mortar stores ever get a hold of them. I wonder what was so different about FY#1's distribution? Curious.
I can't access Facebook from work, so I'll have to wait until tonight to see whether or not they've been able to respond.

I'm okay with this.
I keep intending grab the individual DVD sets from the store down the street but I keep getting side-tracked in terms of other shows I want and video games that come out.
Hopefully, I can actually grab it this time.
