I was expecting Fall...this makes me sad. That will be nearly 2 years from when Season 2's airing ended...Sad

I just rewatched both seasons and Railgun in anticipation for the movie coming out but by Feb ill have to watch them again >.<

If your waiting for fansubs then its actually going to take even longer. For example. K-on! movie came out in theaters 2011-12-03 but as of today, there are zero fansubs for it. Thats because most fansubs are ripped from bluray/dvd or recorded during a television run. Since it's in theaters, it will take another several months after its initial showing til its out on bluray/dvd. You could argue theres going to be recordings in theaters but would you really want to ruin the quality of such a potentially great Index movie?

I could be positive and say that was just K-on's problem but knowing my luck I'll be a freshman trying to survive collage by the time we get to see anything...

Fukoda...

Movie anime to theaters is actually a good anti-picracy measure. Camrips aren't as likely and even when they do occur, some people won't bother with them because they want a pure experience in the highest quality. To see it, you need to drop that 1800 yen on a movie ticket, and that works much better for serialized movies than if they were done as OVAs. Movie production is so ridiculously high now, it's most certainly a trend. I don't count compilation films from the 70s and 80s, those aren't "new" works.

I hope at some point season three makes a release date! though if it follows the manga it would be sad to see.

I hope the moive also gets picked up by funimation! and the ovas as well!
