Received this set last week from TRSI. Gee, I guess I can preserve it forever and watch the series on CR instead.

Very nice. Now I can preview it and decide if it goes in my collection or not.

I'm glad!

I wanted to own this one, but now can legally preview it before buying.

haha, I also just ordered it from rightstuf, and much of my collection is still unopened. However, it's less out of a desire to keep it in pristine condition (although I do want to keep it in good condition) and more for convenience as I use dvd/bd case storage boxes instead of shelves.

Been hearing good things about Anohana on twitter, but I balk at blind buying NISA's stuff. Very, very glad I can preview, since I think I may like this, but wasn't 100% sure.

It's nice to see folks getting legitimate way to preview AnoHana. It's becoming less of an issue now that practically everything is getting a simulcast stream, but it must be frustrating for people who refuse to watch fansubs but still don't want to blind-buy a new title. I hope this works out for NISA and CR.

I know a similar tactic is what made me buy Madoka, but I preordered this one based solely on the trailer.

At the Sakura-Con Panel, they asked the audience straight-up if they've already seen the AnoHana fansubs. Smile

Has anyone ever been deadset on buying a show, but decided to check out a legal stream and immediately change their mind?

Excellent! Wondered if Anohana was worth picking up, but now I can make a decision without doing it the illegal way.

Not deadset against, but on the fence, or harboring strong doubts. Currently watching Occult Academy and Shiki to decide if I want to buy these.

Rhetoric aside, njprogfan's post immediately after yours provides an example of someone who wants a legal way to preview a title. And I've seen other people post similar comments on various forums. I'm not sure what percentage of the fanbase they compose, but they do seem to be out there.

@kyokun703: I suggest watching Occult Academy in its entirety before throwing money at it, but it's one of my favorites from the past couple of years. It's flawed, but fun.

That is exactly why I'm watching the whole thing. Smile I've heard mixed reactions and very strong opinions about the ending. So far, it's pretty good, four episodes in.
