Its times like this I wish I could go to more cons. Tara Strong is one of my favorite VA's in domestic toons (& she does a good job in video games as well.) Be it the gal from Drawn Together, Raven From Teen Titans, or Twilight from MLP, you just gotta love this woman's voice. Cool

She's done anime and Japanese video games.

Yup and ANN calls those "Non-anime roles."

Kidding aside. She is a damn fine Guest of Honor.

To be fair, the PR release doesn't list any of those. Just a bunch of American cartoons. You'd think an Anime Con's PR release would prioritize that aspect of their guest's career.

Though I don't think I've ever heard her in an anime.

Tara Strong voiced Hello Kitty when she was 13 years old, but she's probably more remembered for Yumi Francois (Tekkaman Blade II) and Baby Boh (Spirited Away).

Besides, this isn't here first anime con.

Tara Strong is a well known and well respected VA, And in the PR releases defense most of her most notable roles are from Domestic animations, so why not go with the references to shows people would know her from? Sides Anime is just the japanese word for animation. *shot*.

But yeah, I do admit though aside from Hello Kitty, Boh & Yumi (I guess) i can't really name any voices she's done in anime. Still her talent can't be denied. Weather she's playing an annoying 10 year old with magic faries, a Goth-emo Empathic super-heroine, or an OCD Pony, she always seems to have fun with her roles, lol.

Raven is not an emo. It's well-established that her powers are too dangerous to express emotion excessively. The term 'emo' would apply to somebody overly emotional. Nor does the term 'goth' necessarily apply either because 'goth' implies 'hateful', which Raven is most certainly not.

And I wish I could make it to that con.

She's done dubbing for Japanese video games like Ninja Gaiden and was even in one of the "Tales of" games.
