Sentai continues to slowly sway a small part of my wallet towards them, glad this one is getting additional rights as well, looking forward to picking it up along with Kids On The Slope whenever they are released.
Also abit off topic, but looking forward to Sentai's release of the rest of the Mardock Scramble Films as well. You know at this rate Sentai will most likely end up (if they arn't already) Funimation's #1 competitor. |

I heard the voice actress for the heroine is really great in Japanese, hopefully they find someone just as good. Anyways I might buy this, will just have to put it on the hidden part of my shelf lol. Don't want people thinking im a drool obsessed lunatic. |

They say that because she's not an accustomed voice actress, so her pitch and delivery are quite different than what we're all used to in that she sounds like she's talking normally as a Japanese girl. I've seen this come up in other works before, mostly films or OVAs. |

Slobber me surprised.
Wow, they just keep licensing everything. And yea, part of what's interesting for me in this show is how the Japanese VA sounds. For this show it might not matter too much to me if its dubbed. |

That was quick, though this season, with so many licence announcements, not surprisingly so.

Let me preface this first a bit. I love FUNimation. They do awesome work, and I love their catalogs. Now that that's out of the way, the fact the Sentai can make these announcements and bring the show out in a reasonable amount of time makes me wonder why FUNi has so many problems bringing shows out within a year of announcements. Yes, yes, I know, the whole Geneon thing. Still, seems Sentai manages to bring stuff out faster. Maybe it's the dub, I dunno. Either way, seems Sentai consistently brings their titles out faster. I look forward to owning this title.

I'm already drooling in anticipation of buying this show! While I hope for a BluRay and dub, I don't have high hopes for it. After all, if they aren't going to dub Waiting in the Summer (Ano Natsu de Matteru), what are the odds that MGX will get a dub? Of course, the fact that they haven't already announced that they are releasing it on subtitled DVD, as the did for Waiting in the Summer, gives us hope.
The choice of voice actress for Urabe would be key to a successful dub. Ayako Yoshitani, the seyiuu performing her, does such a wonderful job that it will be hard to match. @walw6pK4Alo - It isn't just because she is not an "accustomed" voice actress. She is a professional actress in live action shows, with several titles listed on IMDB. Her vioce is more than just different, it is perfect for the role: soft and sultry in spots, husky and breathy in others, and very, very sexy. Her laugh is amazing, and her voice after laughing has a lilting quality that is brilliantly seductive! |

She doesn't sound as cartoony cliche that nobody really talks like. |

I'm guessing part of it has to do with the dubbing process. Sentai releases these things more quickly, but their dubs seem (at least to me) much sloppier than FUNi's. Of course, this is just speculation, but if Sentai didn't want to spend as much time/money on dubs as FUNi, it would make sense to eliminate doing numerous takes of a line, etc. by settling for acceptable takes, as opposed to ideal ones. If time = money, then... Another factor is, of course, demands of the licensors and materials. I'm sure it's a number of factors. FUNi wants to release a high-quality product as quickly as possible, just as Sentai does, so there has to be a reason for it. |

So how many of you people complaining about their choice of show has actually seen this series?
Seriously, it's really really good, and has become a huge favorite of many this season. Licensing it is a great idea. |

That is pretty much standard on these forums. You should see the comments in the Spring 2012 Preview Guide talkback forum! Many people would talk about how bad the show is, then say things like "I've seen screen shots" or "From the reviews I've read" or "I haven't seen it myself, but..." It is enough to drive one mad! I wish people who haven't seen something would have the good manners to keep their mouths shut about it! Its kind of like somebody reading a review of the Lord of the Rings movies and saying, "I haven't seen the movie, or read the book that it is based on, but it looks to me like they are just copying a ton of fantasy movies that have already been made or Dungeons and Dragons, or something! So totally unoriginal! This sucks!" (I actually know someone who made a comment very similar to that about the Lord of the Rings animated movie that came out eons ago and D&D... Of course, he also thought that the organ music in the funeral scene of "The Big Chill" was some religious peice, until somebody looked at him and said, "Dude! That's the Stones!") |
