Finally! Another game I'll be able to play without having to buy console! I just hope it doesn't impact my work output like it has Miura Kentaro...

Should be 25 episodes not 24 episodes.

Excited! Disappointed that it's not a PSP game or something, but you know. I'm still looking forward to Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls music/drama CDs. I already have the PS3 game, so I don't have to worry if it doesn't come out on the American store (friggin region blocks), but you know, I'd like it on there (not translated, of course).

Hate to break it to you guys but the idolm@ster i app is just an update to the already existing idolm@ster mobile game. It brings touch features and voice acting to it for the iphone version. You have to physically travel Japan to get the rewards from the game which are for the most part just phone wallpapers.

I figured. Same with Idolmaster Cinderella Girls. People without a Japanese phone number can't do much of anything (receive gifts, receive things they've won, message people via Moba Mini Message), so I expected it to be like this. At least it's better than the One Piece mobile game, which doesn't allow foreigners to play at all.

Or FF Brigade. I feel for you guys who can't get things from your anti-gaijin box especially with weekly rankings now going there too. I try and help out the non verified time to time because of the limitation. I couldn't help but chuckle last night with a member of my production getting into the top 850 I think it was and got Noa but went to the anti-gaijin box and he wasn't verified. Felt bad for him though at the same time. The recent changes have really made an impact on the foreigner playerbase as lots of the productions have been losing members.

Is there any particular reason you wouldn't wan it translated? Assuming hell freezes over and it is, how would that make the game inferior?

I'm just going out on a limb here and guessing he means dubbed with english voice actors. Anime related video games are pretty notorious for getting some pretty bad dubs like the persona games keeping honorifics in. The voice actors themselves make a good portion of the characters so having a dubbed version of my favorite character I'd call it bad no matter how good it was. Then you have certain characters like Hibiki who uses Okinawan dialect and would be a real hard one to get a dub voice for. Then the whole singing portions of the game so they would have to find a english voice actor who does anime roles who is able to sing as it seems most voice actors who do anime show roles also do anime game roles. Just make the process long and messy, that and the fans of the series wouldn't really want a dub of the game. They'd just rather have the text translated.

Yeah, I was assuming he/she just meant a straight-up text translation keeping the original voices only.

Hell, I'm a dub-fan to the max and even I think that this work wouldn't fit a dub at all.
