Well, I'm glad their importing the series, i just hope the dub won't hack the dialog too much.

I wouldn't worry TOO much. Matt Greenfield may not be the best director ever, but at least he's not Steven Foster. Wink

That's a pretty good line up if you ask me, I'm just wondering if they're going to try and do accents or not. Tiffany Grant as Laura is just perfect.

^ugh, really, no I am sorry I am form Europe, and speak German, and her accents are God awful. Asuka is the only dub that is bearable that she has ever done, and it was partly because she really did not try to do an accent.

Christ, I am buying this and hope we get season 2, but I will not be listening to the dub.

Matt Greenfield will direct the dub, and Tiffany Grant will write the ADR script.
Does this mean that the dub hasn't yet been created and the script not yet written? Even though IS is listed for sale on RightStuf? If so, then maybe Matt Greenfield can get some English extras on there, or reach a happy medium and find the cash to dub some J-extras, ala Funimation. Now that Sentai is "bailing out" Bang/Zoom I think they might actually have the cash to reclaim their lost glory.

If worst comes to worst you can always just watch the subbed versions Very Happy (Which is what I do about 99% of the time)

I liked the series up to the end when it just became a "...oh we are done?? .....ok...."

Made me kind of sad Sad

I'm also wondering if they'll have accents but looking at the cast I have a feeling there won't be any. Either way, I had already preordered this awhile ago.

Would have liked to have watched the ANN preview of this series, but nope, not available for viewing in Canada. (Some sub-text stating what regions the video can be viewed in underneath the "WATCH IT NOW!" text would prove beneficial.) Guess I'll have to wait for the April release before deciding if I'm going to blind-buy this or not. The cast looks fairly solid, and it's nice to see Bang Zoom getting more business.

Okay, since a majority of favorite VAs from the days of ADV are here, now I have a reason to buy this

Huh. I remember Otaku USA trashed the hell out of this series in the latest volume because of its bland harem stuff, non-sensical set-up, and the main character being a Marty Stu.

I haven't seen the series myself.

I preferred the novels to be honest. The anime made Ichitaka way more dense. At least in the novels, he had monologues that added to his character. It was still crap though.

Also;

That feel when your favorite character in IS is going to be voiced by Thoria of all people....

I'll still buy the DVDs though. If only to declare that I own the series. Question though: OVA included?

Glad to see Monica Rial get more work.

Too bad about Tiffany Grant being in it, though. Well, law of averages, eventually she's got to do well, right?

Yes both the dvd and bluray are getting the OVA. Along with a bunch of extras. Like a music CD (which I wanna say is just the character songs / stuff that was on the Japanese release) Commentary, Behind The Scenes, Interview, Radio IS, along with Clean Opening Animation, Clean Closing Animation.

I just copy pasted it from rightstuff's page but yeah, if anything the DVDs are worth owning just because of the extras.
