I don't follow this anime so I am not familiar with it in any way but I still have the urge of commenting.

So which episodes will be aired?

The online apology cited the "stupidity" of the episode's content as the reason that the episode is not airing out of "self-restraint."

That didn't stop them from airing Princess Lover or Haruka's Secret.

Why did they even pick up the show in the first place?

May be this related to the tokyo regulation thing?

I'm not sure how it may be affected by it.

Not even The World God Only Knows merited an apology. That is some major fail.

I'm starting to think that this was planned to troll people. I wouldn't be surprised if episode 5 will not air for being "boring", "too smart", or whatever dumb reasons.

Its just being done for promotional reasons. It'll get people to know the show exists and will check out that DMM website to see it.

That has to be it.

I mean, if out of the first 3 episodes, only the second could apparently be aired, I'm sure the TV station would have just axed it by now.

Seems like a publicity stunt tbh.
Gets people watching it on that website, when they probably wouldn't have bothered.
Also generates interest for the DVD/BD releases, since people will now assume they must be ultra ecchi in content.

Having just watched said second (and only-aired) episode, albeit raw, I can definitely say it is not want for animation quality, which is pretty darn good. On the other side, it really does seem as "stupid" as advertised--mixed in dab of ecchi spoiler[(mainly in one scene where a girl is licking another girl's face with a bunch of saliva)]--as the outing revolved around the apparent lead trying to overcome a hiccuping fit.

It wasn't terrible or anything, but after seeing it, it is becoming more clear that this whole thing is a publicity stunt for probably both the anime and the program it airs on, since the "stupidity" angle is one of its selling points (and not a bad one, either). It's also probably good to keep in mind that another Maya Miyazaki manga is being animated for March…

Does that mean people will have to stop saying the Japanese companies don't get it and should move to streaming? I think that would generate far more backlash than only airing the even-numbered half of a series.

More power to them if they keep it up though... particularly if it is a 12-episode show, and some may be coming into the climax with no idea of what happened before. Or better still, a 13-episode show where the cllimax never airs (then again, unaired epilouge episodes have become a little too common for this to be as interesting.)

Sounds like a publicity/marketing stunt in the same vein as US companies saying something is too hot for tv.

I think it probably is too stupid and someone is very pissed that a lot of money has been wasted. I mean the plot summary was that a girl goes to high school and things get WACKY!

It would be interesting to know who gets fired for this.

Girls Gone Wild! Cool

Either they must be really regretting doing this little side-project now, or...........

This sounds like a marketing scheme the Williams Street lads on Adult Swim would come up with for April Fool's Day. Laughing
