Aw, hell. Sorry about the drool, guys. I'd clean it up, but it just won't stop. Just jump over the puddles.

As for the topic at hand, I don't even think this moe character's enough to fix the reputation of Sony.

It's just a matter of time before someone compromises her.

Really? Do we really need moe characters to control a home appliance and know when it needs to be repaired? As if it's hard enough to control a VCR/DVR! Laughing

Ironically the otaku they're creating this thing for probably can't afford these super expensive devices the game is made to interact with.

And seriously, do people really need a fan with internet access?

I REALLY have to ask this question: has anyone in Japan done an "moe" anthropomorphic version of an Apple iOS device (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad) that is officially sanctioned by Apple? Or maybe Apple is not interested in this?

Nothing against yet more moeification of the universe (must be fodder for all the AR-enabled portable gaming devices,) and then...

the two companies demonstrated the "Senpūki Gal-Ga Remo-Con" (Electric Fan Dating Game Remote Control) app in which the user goes on a "date" in an amusement park with the fan character. Riding different attractions will change the fan speed (jet coaster for high, merry-go-round for low).

....

No... just, no. ^See that line... yeah, no.

Y'know fellows, you can already "interact" with a vacuum-cleaner hose free of charge. Why go through the trouble of romancing it...

It's hard enough getting different companies to consistently implement CEC already! Yet another link 'standard' is just going to make things worse.

Finally, Japan uses moe anthropomorphism for a good cause and does -tans properly again, instead of just random generic anime girls. I kinda want this...
