Wow, his daughter's pretty hot for a gamer. Though I guess at least it's better than Nick Cage naming his kid Kal-El.

Coolest parents ever Though I can understand she didn't have it easy in school with such a name
(And wow didn't know his daughter was that cute, seems like a wonderful girl) |

I was surprised to see that "One Hour Photo" was not noted in parenthesis as a movie Robin Williams had starred in- in the film, Robin Williams gives an Eva Unit-05 (Mass Production Eva) figure to a child of a family that he believes to be perfect. The figure is actually from his own personal collection of Evangelion merchandise.
He's apparently quite the fan. Here are some captures from the movie, courtesy of a wordpress that I found on Google image search. |

Dear CHRIST, can Robin Williams easily pull off as some king-like character if the Legend of Zelda had some live-action movie adaptation! I don't recall that guy ever having a freakin' lumberjack beard, when did he get that?!

Yeah, Williams has a long beard because he's starring in the Broadway run of the play Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo. |

Love that commercial, very sweet. Wish they would have used it for the US as well.

He named his daughter "Zelda". After a video game. This, by definition, means he is not the coolest dad ever. Of course, it could be worse. He could have been playing Dead or Alive at the time. On topic now: Uh... yeesh. Way to get "hip" with the "scene" by using a dinosaur as a spokesperson. It's as though Nintendo is using marketing material from 1987. |

Couldn't agree with you more. His beard is amazing, too. I'd love to see him in a theatrical performance. @TwEed: Took the words right outta my mouth. She seems very sweet. @PetrifiedJello: You're entitled to your two cents, but can you not be so mean-spirited about it, mayhaps? |

Keep in mind though that Zelda is a real name, so it isn't that "bad." So its a good way to name, IMO. Better than some you hear like "Bus stop No 4"(forgot the exact name, but someone did name the location they either had the child or made love there to give the name to their child.) |

Oooooohhhhh, okay! Huh, did not know that. Why does the title of the play sound familiar though? |

Wow, and here I never even knew Robin Williams was a Zelda fan all these years! But thinking back on some of the roles he's played (the Genie in Aladdin and Peter Pan in Hook, for example), it actually makes sense!
And yes, I could totally see him playing the King of Hyrule in a live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, if there ever is one! |
