Thank you judge!

I'm still an employee of Borders so I'm glad to see that there's finally some positive news, even if it's just an extension.

Borders still has a lot to do if it really wants to improve. A lot of the behind the scenes management is absolutely bullshit, but still I've been going to Borders for all of my life so I'd hate to see it go.

Took the words right out of my mouth, mate, though I've never been an employee. Borders has been such a huge part of my life as a bibliophile and otaku, I want it to continue to brighten others' lives.

Borders requested the extension earlier this month after negotiations with publishers continued to fail.

Today is June 3, you mean late last month. Wink

I have no personal attachment to Borders, I think I've been inside one maybe half a dozen times, so I side with the publishers on this one. Their recklessness has caused a chain reaction through the industry with many publishers struggling to stay afloat. Extending the deadline is just prolonging the inevitable and doing more harm to the publishers. Either pay the publishers or file already.
