The series will air on the American G4 television channel "this summer," according to the WonderCon schedule.

I'll just say it: FAIL. What, was CN too busy trying to push a live-action series instead of acquiring this?

They screened the first episode at C2E2 in Chicago, but I didn't get a chance to check it out while I was there.

I watched the first 2 episodes subbed when it was airing, and I thought it was decent.

Waiting for the dub.

Negativity aside, you guys (gals) seem to forget that we (anime fans) need *something* on tv to help draw attention to anime again. Iron Man anime on the G4 network isn't a bad way to go. What will people who never watch anime ever be able to compare it to? I'm waiting to watch the series on G4. I don't expect a rebirth of the glory days of anime on tv, but you do need that gateway anime to try to get more fans of watching such shows on tv.

So it's premiering the same month as the second season as Iron Man Armored Adventures. Guess they want to push Iron Man a lot that month. I know I'm looking forward to AA more, though, didn't care for the anime. Confused

No, they screened the first episode of Wolverine at C2E2. They only showed clips of Iron Man.

Since when in recent memory did G4 have anything to do with Anime? Maybe a few moons ago, but now it's just a crappy copy of SpikeTV. Hell, they've even "strayed" from it's Video Gaming roots as well. And don't get me started on Attack of the Show!

And Spike TV has anime. Or did we just forget about Afro Samurai?

Also, ALL of the Marvel series were announced as coming to G4 all the way back in last June.

Anime Unleashed ended five years ago last week, according to Wikipedia. That's easily within recent memory. I'm personally happy to see the G4 exec who took it off have to eat his words or move on (probably the latter but I have no idea what got him, and or G4 in general, to back off his, to paraphrase "animation isn't hip or interesting to our demographic" tact Twisted Evil ) . Does that mean I forgive the channel for messing up AU to begin with? No, but lets get real - any channel that is airing Anime is one more than we had last week. Of course if you don't get G4 to begin with then this doesn't matter but for some of us who still don't have VOD options Funimation Channel and Anime Network are just the same (it doesn't matter, I don't get them).

As for G4 being Spike Jr - that situation was actually in full swing back in March 2006 when G4 ended Anime Unleashed. They seem to have tried everything and have come back to animation again. At least we have one more outlet for the time being and maybe, just maybe, they'll add some more Anime back in if this does OK enough for them. [Personally, I have to figure out where G4 got moved to on my cable. I know they moved them to put BBC America in their place two or three years ago and they're in the same range up there (I've seen G4 a few time surfing around) but I've not been interested enough to memorize where they currently are before now Twisted Evil ]

HAD anime. Nowadays, it's pretty much CSI & Gangland Marathons.
