One would have preferred that the Town Hall was selected as the venue. Accessing LS6, or for that matter anywhere in West Yorkshire not within walking distance of a railway station, is difficult.

On a more relevant note, my DNS server informs me that the link to the venue details does not load.

You'd think anime is less popular in the north.

Most things are. Unfortunately, the definite article is a principle example thereof.

On the other hand, the Hyde Park Picture House is an actual cinema actually designed for the purpose – and a very nice one compared to most, if the Grand or town hall leave it in the dust for ornateness – so should lack reported echoing problems (and now has a D-Cinema projector, so less DigiBeta and DVDs, though REDLINE is still only available English-subbed on HDCAM at best). Though the screen, which is amazing for 'Scope films, is a bit on the tiny side for 4:3 epics (though fine for 16 mm stuff). There's a 16 minute walk at one end or the other even if one takes a bus from the station but it's one I make usually several times a week to get to there and the university.
