So this means Dragonball Kai is going to end next March, right? I haven't been following the episodes for a while, but that sounds about correct, pacing-wise.

Awesome news! Very Happy

The Toriko manga is a lot of fun and I can't wait to see how they handle all the badass adventures of Toriko and co. in the anime.

Good question. I'm hoping for Toei this time around since they need a new hit to their portfolio. I know that One Piece and Dragon Ball are the company's bread and butter but Toriko looks like it can fit right in with the Toei family due to its wacky world and badass antics from the characters. Smile

It was inevitable, but I'm still quite glad! It's one of the few SJ titles I've been paying attention to since Steel Ball Run became a seinen. Very Happy

If it's Toei doing the animation, not even going to bother.

Ugh....I'm sorry but the art is terrible. Plus the guy with blue hair looks like Ryu from Street Fighter wearing Son Goku from Dragon Ball Z's clothes.

I think I'll pass on this one.

You're passing up the series for that? At least give it a couple of episodes first to see what the show is about!

By the way, since the voice cast is going to be different for the television series, who will they get to play Toriko? I'm personally hoping for Akira Kamiya myself but that's just me. Smile

I dunno why ANN didn't mention it, but Toriko's voice actor was announced as well: Okiayu Ryotaro.

Edit: Oh, and Moonphase says it's by Toei.

BAM!

Toei have made my 2 favorite anime, Dragonball and One Piece. Toriko should be good.

Moon Phase doesn't actually say it's Toei Animation — Moon Phase speculates it's Toei Animation.

Well if it is by Toei (which wouldn't surprise me due to the 3D movie they produced) then you can kiss any chance of this getting licensed & streamed goodbye.
