These stories aren't likely to make readers lose any sleep but there's a high likelihood of being left weary of what could linger in the shadows.

I am pretty sure you meant 'wary'. Please proof-read more, its understandable if its just a tiny slip but not when there is a malapropism in the tagline.

Nice review! I hadn't even heard of this little collection until I read this, but it sounds like my type of thing. All the stories sound like they have their potential to veer off from the expected, which is always something I look for. I'll be sure to check this one out.

This sounds like it deserves at least a C+ rather than a B, but whatever. I'm not really interested in Tale of a White Night, but I like how the paranormal stories are Japanese specific-everything seems to take place in some part of Japan from what I read in the review, and use Japanese creatures: oni and fox spirits. I also like how there is supposed to be an oni in one of the stories. There aren't very much manga that star oni, which is a very Japanese folklore creature. I'm also surprised I don't see that many fox spirits in manga and anime. From the ones that do have them, they're popular enough though.
