Its so nice he's coming back to the States but cant he hit the East Coast some time? He always says he likes New York but I don't think he's ever come for a show.

I think it's a little misleading to refer to him as "S.K.I.N.'s Miyavi" considering Miyavi has been huge long before S.K.I.N. and S.K.I.N. hasn't done shit since its debut.
I'm bawling over the fact that I go to school out of state right now though. Anime Matsuri needs to take place in July or something. :| :| :|

Hm...should I go or no? I could go since it's near me, but I still have a bad taste from my first Matsuri =\

I don't blame you, akatsukinotobi. That con was terrible, even by first-year con standards. I was treated horribly by the volunteer staff. And to top it off, so many events and panels were cancelled without explanation.
If you want to make the trip to the Galleria, go to Kamikazecon to be held the same weekend. I remember the first year it was held at the downtown Hyatt in Houston, and I had a blast.

So akatsukinotobi wants to go, probably to see Miyavi live(since this is a Miyavi thread), and you say go to KKC? Your first post too. Wow.
AM's first year is long gone. We've apologized for everything that went wrong again and again. We (and many others) have moved on. AM08 showed how hard the staff worked to fix the problems and issues, not to mention listen to our attendees. It's obvious you didn't go to that event.
Akatsukinotobi, I'm sorry if you still have a bad taste from the first con. We had many problems. We are sorry if you did not have a good time. Dont let that prevent you from giving AM another chance. Also remember, if you have suggestions or ideas to help us, we are listening. Thank you.

Actually it's more like we're doing all we can to make sure the convention is as successful as it could be and our attendees are happy.

I'm assuming you're addressing moi?
And yes, it's my first post here. At least I posted three times in one day; you post three times in one year. But I digress...
Anyway, I'm glad you and your cohorts have moved on and are striving to improve your convention. I really hope you guys get your act together. But seeing as I do have a choice that weekend in the way of anime conventions, I'll choose KKC, thank you.
And you're right, I didn't go to the 2008 show. Can you blame me? Sorry, but I didn't want to blow 45 bucks (not spending 80 or whatever it was for a "super pass", thanks, whatever that is!) plus gas, food, and other expenses to be let down again. Sorry, but as the old commercial goes "You never get a second chance to make a first impression". At least in my case.
But good luck with this year's show. I'm sure you'll get a fair amount of j-pop fans and gamers coming through the gates.
