やった! This is going to be an interesting year. (Wonder why ADV/Manga Ent. dropped the ball on this one.)

Yes! Hopefully they'll bring back the original dub cast. Shouldn't be a problem if they go the "Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid" route.

I still get nervous when Funi grabs something. In the back of my mind I find myself chanting Please don't screw it up with mangy encoding.

I am interested in this one. I think besides this one though nothing really was something I was aware of. That isn't saying I won't be willing to get any of it but it certainly was all not anything I was already hoping to get.
So I'm still really wanting to see someone (other than ADV due to their inconsistency of late) pickup Spice and Wolf, Rental Magica, etc.
The worst encoding I've ever seen was on my Rurouni Kenshin DVDs (not funimation). The latest Funimation stuff has all been good, and the easiest way I judge that is how good the vobs encode using x264. Everything that is clean with low noise/etc. produces small files when using quality based encoding (usually qp=18) and the noisy/messy stuff tends to encode much larger. Older shows from Funimation are kind of messy in this area but I can't think of anything released recently that had this issue. There are some issues they have with blocking artifacts, but pretty much any good PC video player has a good deblocking filter (which is the reason I'll always use a PC for playback).
