And I thought the turnaround on Vampire Knight was quick. No complaints though; I was thinking after first couple episodes of Aka that 13 episodes seemed a little short. I guess that Funimation's announcement covers Kuro, too.

FUNimation has announced whether it has the rights for the second anime series.

Er, the structure of this sentence is rather weird; looks like something is missing. Perhaps a "yet" between "has" and "announced?"

Actually it was said from the beginning that there will be two season. They've just confirmed something that was confirmed long ago.

I still can't say that pre-licensing a show is a good idea, unless it's cheap enough. I don't think Shikabane Hime is that good that it'll make back all the money, and just because it's Gainax doesn't mean it'll be Eva/GL/FLCL/etc. I mean, they did make He is My Master and Melody of Oblivion.

but just because a series isn't good doesn't mean it won't sell well ... unfortunately Wink
Shikabane Hime so far is really nothing more than average - the most interesting thing so far is how they spell "aka" and "kuro", eventhough the meaning is pretty much the same v.v ... And the opening is really good ... but apart from that. Well, we'll see, it can still turn into something better.

Agreed there's been nothing impressive about the series other than the OP. Everything else been pretty average and forgetful. Really dissapointing because I thought Gainax would do a great job instead they bastardize the manga by doing new a new original story and two toning the violence/gore action.

Funimation has indeed licensed Shikabane Hime: Kuro as well. They posted episode 1 of Kuro subbed on they're site, though it's labeled as Shikabane Hime - Ep 14.

I was wondering about this. Thats good. I really like this show. Its first few episodes made it seem like the typical "half naked high school girl with guns", but the show gets pretty good as it goes on.

I wish they'd increase the release speed though. If the whole point of putting it on Hulu is to stop fansubs... how does making us wait 3 weeks help?
