as expected, many of the anime mentioned are aimed for kids, sazae san is the equivalent of "the simpsons" in japan so everyone watches it, so it doesnt surprise me that kids are the main tv audience for anime: what do we learn...?

Anime is still for kids, people, is meant for kids!!!

And so are Naruto and Pokemon, for that matter. But just because the adult-oriented series aren't big ratings-getters doesn't mean they don't exist, either...

That's fauly reasoning. For one, it could be that anime aimed at kids are the most popular so should appear in the top ten (this is the case.)

You should also look at the demographics of who actually watch it. A series could be 'kid-friendly', but aim for a more general audience.

A lot of the more adult-oriented series air during the late hours, I believe, so that's a reason for it too.

But whoo, go Dinosaur King! Getting on the top 10 when you air on Sunday morning at 7:00 AM is quite the accomplishment.

Yeah, a lot of the more "adult" series air at more or less "ungodly" hours. x3

It's always interesting to see what gets in the top ten when the "regulars" take a break . . . even though I don't watch most of the shows there, it's nice too see they're getting good ratings as well. :]

It was originally supposed to last for 49 episodes, but it got renewed due to successful ratings. And that's actually a good thing because this second season is like ten times better than first.

Hmm...I've been meaning to check out PiPoPa as well. Probably should get on that.

Better in what way? It's rather base as a mon show.
