So.....What the heck happened here.
We were supposed to be getting this 2 years ago at the same time as japan, Like they talked about here and then canceled it a week before hand... and now it just shadow drops on google play with no word from discotec?
Are we going to get official subtitled releases for the next 2 movies in the franchise?

Glad the turn around was quick.
Did anyone go to either of the screenings at AnimeNYC? I can see ANN did reports for some of the other screenings but not this one?

they have been sitting on this for 2 years I wouldn't call it a quick turn around

In the past, there was no definitely turn around time between when a Conan film is screened at a con and then released digitally. Therefore, there was no expectation they were going to make it immediately available after the screening is finished. I mean, I know it is obviously ready since they had it in 2021 already, but they also said the same thing when they planned for the screening back in 2021. They said after the screening, the digital version will be available. And then the screening was abruptly cancelled and we never heard from them about the digital. So yeah, very quick turn around time, which they are not obliged to do so anyway.

Discotek has nothing to do with the Conan dub.

Discotek has nothing to do with the Conan dub. |
Except putting out the past 10 conan bluray releases, I don't think discotec ever said anything about releasing this movie, but they have done it a lot recently even if they just printed the discs and packaging so I did assume that they would be doing that again.

Wait for the next round of announcements from Discotek.
Lately these Conan movies have released on digital first, and then Discotek is able to do the Blu-ray a few months later. I assume it'll be the same situation for this film.

The dub is commisioned by TMS and produced by Bang Zoom. Discotek only acts as a distributor for the series. It's all on TMS when this gets released.

Bingo, same as most of the recent Lupin dubs, including Part 6 which Sentai released.
TMS are the ones who handle the digital streaming rights too plus Discotek has said on multiple announcement streams to bug TMS for more Conan on Blu-ray because it's "out of their hands".

Thank you for clearing up who does what for the recent English dub on Case Closed.
The movies are fine to watch.
