Did ANN get advanced screenings of the first episode? I thought the first episode doesn’t drop until 8:30 am PT on April 1st?

There was a pre-screening of the first two episodes on March 19th, at Roppongi Hills.

Yes, they did. From the preview guide:

I read the first manga volume on that one last night and. . . yeah, it's rocketed to the top of my Most Anticipated list for the season, even over the returns of G-Witch, Demon Slayer, and The Ancient Magus' Bride. I may be even more eager to see how others react to it than I am to see it in animated form myself.
All I'll say about it is that there's a very good reason why the production team took the unprecedented step of making the debut 90 minutes long (and thus presumably meant to cover the whole first manga volume). Bail on this one early and you'll be completely misled about what direction it's actually going.

Don't want to overhype it like others (even though I love the manga to bits), but it's a known fact that Kana is the best, no competition  And it's very unlike Kaguya-sama at all. I'm more interested in other people's reactions, I'm here mainly for Gundam after all.

A bit surprised to see how little it appears MC-kun's behavior at the start of Dangers in My Heart has affected reception. Wonder if the anime toned things down a bit, because I was certain ANN would be 1 or 2-starring its first episode, based on the manga's content. What's funny is this "gonna kill all my classmates" aspect of the character is more or less completely dropped after a few chapters, which makes its focus at the start feel all the more bizarre. A way to grab attention, I guess? At any rate the manga mellows out and becomes simply quirky in an oddly endearing way.
