For third week in a row, the PS5 is the best-selling console, it seems like the stock issues are finally a thing of the past. Not surprisingly, this has brought the ususal "Nintendo should've released a new console already", but I guess they're trying to save some stock when Tears of the Kingdom finally arrives.
In terms of software Hogwart's Legacy had the third biggest opening for a PS5 game, below Elden Ring and Gran Turismo 7. It's also very impressive considering the game was not developed in Japan, but the Harry Potter franchise is very popular there, the first movie is the 6th highest-grossing movie there (it's above Princess Mononoke), Universal Studios Japan has its own Wizarding World park and I've seen plenty of references to Harry Potter in anime like Lucky Star.
Still, despite the PS5 great hardware sales, its software sales are still lacking, none of its games have sold more than 100k copies at launch, even if we count digital sales I don't think they're that high and most of the games on the Top 30 are Switch games

Hogwarts Legacy doing well is no surprise. Harry Potter is huge there and a ton of Japanese artists, mangaka, seiyuu, and developers I follow on social media mentioned playing it and loving it. I've been watching Hololive play it myself and they love it too.

RIP Forspoken for finally falling off the list, I guess. The trailer and MC completely turned me off but I heard the gameplay itself was okay. If it has a Japanese dub I hope the main character was a lot less annoying and quippy in that version. it seemed like one of those games Square-Enix would cancel along with their other western focused stuff but it was too far into development to stop by the time they made that decision to go in that direction. I guess they should have in the end given how it ended up performing.

The Nintendo Switch has the best games, especially JRPG and classics like Mario and Pokemon. I wish the ps5 had a game that interests me.

I my opinion the PS5 is just 2 PS4 Pro's duct taped together with a SSD screwed in.

Then your opinion is stupid since it's more than that. The haptic feedback and triggers provide a new level of immersion. Not to mention being able to play games in 120hz or 4k.

Why aren't hardware sales included in these charts anymore? I would be interested to see how the console sales are doing these days.
