Wow,this sounds interesting, so Tezuka's company is gonna go the way of american comic books? I see,if this means if they're gonna colorize every single page in they're manga.

Color does not mean "American comic books," or even "non-Japanese comic books." There are plenty of Japanese manga that have some color pages, and even some titles that are ALL in color.

150,000 pages at 1,000 a month is 150 months = 12 and a half years. o_O I think Tezuka's work looks like it would do pretty well in color, but I can't say that for most manga. This is an interesting endeavor.

Digitize? Yes!

Colorize? No! It's blasphemy (and I'm being semi-serious)!

Does this mean you don't want the colorized versions made available to the North American market?

They colorized all the Fist of the Northstar stuff a few years back and it tanked big time in sales - I coulndt even find a distributor that ordered them.

Sooo... I am not expecting them to do too well in general. I think the curiosity seekers will go for it, but not everyone.

But that aside, I would probably buy Black Jack.
